22-year-old Beyza G. arrested in Sivas for insulting the President
22-year-old Beyza G., living in Sivas, has been arrested on charges of 'encouraging drug use' and 'insulting the President and religious values.' It has emerged that Beyza G. also received a sentence for 'insulting the President' in 2021.
Beyza G. (22), who was alleged to have insulted the President and religious values on social media in Sivas, has been arrested and sent to prison.
Teams from the Sivas Provincial Police Department's Cyber Crimes Division conducted an audit regarding posts made on social media.
As a result of the investigations, it was determined that 22-year-old Beyza G. had made posts 'encouraging drug use,' 'insulting the President,' and 'insulting religious values.'
Following this, teams from the Narcotics Crimes Division and the Security Branch apprehended and detained Beyza G. After her processing at the police station, Beyza G. was brought before a court, where she was arrested and sent to prison.
It was learned that Beyza G. had also received an 11-month and 20-day prison sentence for the crime of 'insulting the President' in 2021.
