23 arrests in 3rd wave of fake e-signature investigation
In the 3rd wave of the fake e-signature investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 23 of the detained suspects were arrested, while judicial control measures were imposed on 69 others.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the issuance of fraudulent driver's licenses and certificates using e-signatures obtained with fake identities belonging to public officials, detention warrants were issued for 125 people.
In the 3rd wave of operations carried out in 22 provinces centered in Ankara, 94 suspects were taken into custody.
The suspects, who were detained on charges of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "forgery of official documents," and "unlawful access to information systems," were referred to the Ankara Courthouse.
Following their statements, 23 suspects were arrested, while 69 suspects were released under judicial control conditions. Two suspects were sentenced to house arrest.
