25 arrested in 4th wave of operations targeting IMM
In the fourth wave of operations targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), 25 people, including KİPTAŞ General Manager Kurt, have been arrested.
In the corruption investigation targeting the IMM, 36 of the 46 suspects detained regarding allegations of irregularities at İSTAÇ, KİPTAŞ, and the Road Maintenance Department were referred to the criminal judgeship of peace with a request for arrest. 25 people were arrested.
There is a new development in the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which includes names such as IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
PROCESSING OF 46 PEOPLE COMPLETED
Following their detention as part of the investigation, 46 suspects were brought to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan. Their statements were taken at the prosecutor's office. Among those processed were KİPTAŞ Board Chairman Ali Kurt, İSTAÇ Board Chairman Ziya Gökmen Togay, IMM Road Maintenance and Infrastructure Coordination Department Head Seyfullah Demirel, IMM Chief of Staff Kadriye Kasapoğlu, Ekrem İmamoğlu's security chief Mustafa Akın, IMM Head of Department for Neighborhood Affairs Yavuz Saltık, and Yapı Merkezi Construction owners Mustafa Başar Arıoğlu, Erdem Arıoğlu, and Özge Arıoğlu.
36 ARREST REQUESTS
The prosecutor's office referred 36 suspects to the duty judgeship with a request for their arrest, and 10 suspects with a request for judicial control measures.
Of the individuals referred to the judgeship, 18 were released under judicial control.
25 ARRESTED, INCLUDING KİPTAŞ MANAGER
25 suspects, including KİPTAŞ Manager Ali Kurt, Altan Gözcü, Bülent Yılmaz, Murat Erenler, Nezahat Kurt, Ogün Soytekin, and Serpil Altıntaş, were arrested.
