25th anniversary celebrations: Numerous deputies and mayors join the AKP
The AKP, which entered Turkish political life as Turkey's 39th party on August 14, 2001, under the leadership of AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan, is celebrating its 25th year in politics. During the celebrations, numerous deputies and mayors joined the AKP.
Following President Erdoğan's speech, many deputies and mayors joined the AKP. President Erdoğan personally pinned their badges.
Aydın Deputy Ömer Karakaş and Gaziantep Deputy Mehmet Mustafa Gürban, who resigned from the İYİ Party, and İzmir Deputy Mustafa Bilici, who resigned from the Future Party (Gelecek Partisi), joined the AKP.
Gölbaşı Mayor Yakup Odabaşı and Kahramankazan Mayor Selim Çırpanoğlu, who resigned from the CHP, joined the AKP.
Future Party Deputy Chairman and İzmir Deputy Mustafa Bilici joined the AKP.
Kütahya's CHP-affiliated Domaniç District Mayor Engin Uysal joined the AKP.
Şırnak İdil Mayor Türkan Kayır joined the AKP.
Çanakkale Eceabat Mayor Saim Zileli switched to the AKP.
