26-year-old A.Y. arrested in Aydın over alleged insult to Erdoğan
Detained in Nazilli, 26-year-old A.Y. was sent to prison by the court after police procedures.
In the Nazilli district of Aydın, 26-year-old A.Y. has been arrested on allegations of "insulting" President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Teams from the Nazilli District Police Department's Security Bureau detained A.Y. yesterday in the Altıntaş neighborhood on charges of "insulting the President" and "inciting the public to hatred and hostility."
Following the completion of police procedures, A.Y. was taken to the Nazilli Courthouse this morning after a health check. A.Y. was arrested by the presiding judge and sent to prison.
