The statement noted that the activists wished to return to their countries voluntarily, but the deportation process was delayed due to flight cancellations in the region.

It was decided that the activists, who were expected to be deported by air from Tel Aviv under normal circumstances, would be evacuated via Jordan due to restrictions in Israeli airspace.
