3 arrests in harassment investigation at the Turkish Grand National Assembly
Three people have been arrested and one person has been released under judicial control in an investigation into the harassment of an intern at the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
Within the scope of the investigationconducted regarding theallegation of harassment at the TBMM,3 suspects were arrested for the crime of sexual harassment,while 1 suspectwas releasedunder judicial control measures.
As part of the investigation,taken into custody, D.U., R.S., I.B., and R.Ç. were brought to the Ankara Courthouseafter their healthchecks.The public prosecutorconducting the investigation
referred the suspectsto the court.The suspects, whose statements were taken by theprosecutor, were referred to the dutymagistrate's court.
Theduty Ankara 7th Magistrate's Courtordered the arrest ofsuspects D.U., R.S., and İ.B. on charges of "sexual harassment"for the crime of" and ordered their arrestdecided.
The judge ruled for R.Ç. to be released under judicial control on the condition ofordered.
