3 illegal coal mines destroyed in Zonguldak
Three coal mines in the Kilimli district of Zonguldak were shut down by the Turkish Hard Coal Enterprises (TTK) on the grounds that they were being operated without a license.
Teams from the Provincial Gendarmerie Command conducted an operation targeting mines operating without a license.
As a result of the operations, 6 tons of coal, 40 meters of rail, a crane, and a wagon were seized at 3 mines determined to be operating illegally in the Kilimli district of Zonguldak.
The mines in question were destroyed by Turkish Hard Coal Enterprises (TTK) teams.
The seized materials were handed over to the Regional Directorate of Forestry teams as the mines were located within forest boundaries, while the coal was delivered to the District Special Administration teams.
