At a tribal wedding held in the Gebze district of Kocaeli, the bride was gifted 3 kilograms of gold, while the groom received 4 million 50 thousand TL in cash. Serhat, the son of Tunay and Zafer Özbağ from the Celali tribe, and Şevval, the daughter of Ayşe and Erdal Bitirgiç, tied the knot at a wedding ceremony held in an open-air social facility in the Cumhuriyet neighborhood of Gebze. Thousands of people, including tribal leaders, opinion leaders, and business people, attended the wedding. At the wedding, where guests competed to give gifts, a total of 3 kilograms of gold, including a 900-gram belt, was gifted to the bride, while 4 million 50 thousand TL in cash was gifted to the groom. An 8-person team of 'toy babas' (wedding masters of ceremony) placed the 4 million 50 thousand TL, which included dollars and Euros received on stage, into a suitcase. However, when the money did not fit into the suitcase, an additional bag was brought for the remaining amount.
