3 people die in 5 days due to tick bites in Sivas
A woman who was receiving treatment for suspected Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) in the Gölova district of Sivas has passed away. This brings the total number of deaths in the city due to tick bites in the last 5 days to 3.
Ş.T., a 36-year-old resident of Boğazköy in the Gölova district of Sivas, was bitten by a tick.
After falling ill, Ş.T. was taken to the Sivas Cumhuriyet University Health Services Application and Research Hospital.
Ş.T., who was being treated in the anesthesia intensive care unit on suspicion of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF), could not be saved despite medical intervention.
It was learned that the body of Ş.T., which was handed over to her relatives, will be laid to rest in Boğazköy, Gölova district.
3 FATAL CASES IN 5 DAYS
Yesterday in Sivas, 25-year-old E.N., who was engaged in livestock farming in the village of Olukman in the central district, was bitten by a tick. E.N., who was taken under treatment, passed away despite medical intervention.
On June 6, 25-year-old G.E., an Afghan national working as a shepherd in the village of Eşikli in the Gemerek district, also died in the hospital where he was taken after being bitten by a tick. The body of G.E., which was handed over to his relatives, was taken to Afghanistan.
