A 30 percent increase has been applied to airline ticket price caps, a policy implemented by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation since 2013. The cap for domestic flights has risen to 3,250 TL.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has introduced a new price hike to the domestic flight price caps, which were first initiated in 2013. With the new regulation, the price cap for 85 percent of the seats on a plane has been increased from 1,650 TL to 2,000 TL, while the cap for the remaining 15 percent has been raised from 2,500 TL to 3,250 TL.
Following the decision, companies selling domestic flight tickets have made the necessary adjustments and reflected the price hike in their fares.
