32 people had been detained: New development in football betting and match-fixing investigation
The 32 suspects detained in a football betting operation conducted across 10 provinces, centered in Istanbul, have been referred to the courthouse following the completion of their procedures at the police station.
As part of the "Football Betting and Match-Fixing" investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was launched against suspects identified through research into executives of football clubs competing in professional leagues. It was determined that these individuals held betting accounts and had placed bets on opposing teams during matches involving their own clubs.
In the simultaneous operation carried out at 33 different addresses across 10 provinces centered in Istanbul, 32 suspects were apprehended, while it was learned that search efforts for 1 suspect were ongoing.
The 32 suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.
On the other hand, it was learned that the suspects detained within the scope of the investigation included Abdullah Sancak from Adana Demirspor, Adem Başbilen from Ankaragücü, Ahmet Topdağ from Yeni Malatyaspor, Aytaç Altay and Bahadır Haktanır from Antalyaspor, Burhan Serkan Kalmaz from Adana Demirspor, Caner Tuna from Bodrumspor, Cem Koç and Cesur Burak Akar from Antalyaspor, Enes Memiş from Göztepe, Erdinç Hıdımoğlu, Ersin Sarıkaya, Ferhat Karademir, and Gürkan Temür from Giresunspor, Hakan Faydaşıçok from Konyaspor, Hüsamettin Akyüz and Hüseyin Gümrükçüler from Alanyaspor, Hüseyin Sorudak from Denizlispor, İbrahim İnaç from Giresunspor, İhsan Çetinkaya from Adana Demirspor, Kamil Yücel and Muhammet Ali Atasever from Konyaspor, Mustafa Tütüncü from Giresunspor, Orhan Dönmez from Kocaelispor, Osman Öztürk and Osman Serper from Konyaspor, Osman Topal from Giresunspor, Süleyman Yurtseven from Gençlerbirliği, Tahsin Çoban from Giresunspor, Tuncay Gülel from Antalyaspor, Yasin Ocak from Sivasspor, Yavuz Cinkaya from Denizlispor, and Yunus Emre Demirkol from Konyaspor.
