33-year-old hospital files for concordat

Private Göztepe Hospital, located in the Merdivenköy neighborhood of Kadıköy, was acquired by Aksu Holding in 2024, and the hospital's name was changed to 'Private Aksu Göztepe Hospital'. The Istanbul Anatolian 2nd Commercial Court of First Instance has issued a concordat decision regarding the private hospital, which is among Istanbul's well-known healthcare institutions with a staff of 25 doctors.

COURT GRANTS 3-MONTH GRACE PERIOD FOR HOSPITAL

According to the report by Mustafa Ali Akyol from Patronlar Dünyası; Aksu Holding A.Ş., Aksu Holding Chairman of the Board Ali Asker Aksu, and Private Göztepe Hospital (Private Göztepe Health Services and Trade Inc.), which operates under the holding, filed for a concordat.

As a result of the application evaluated by the Istanbul Anatolian 2nd Commercial Court of First Instance, a three-month temporary grace period was granted for the two companies and the companies' owner, Ali Asker Aksu.

The court also appointed bankruptcy lawyer Serdar Kale, Ferhat Koç, and financial advisor Mustafa Dağüstü as temporary commissioners to serve during the temporary grace period.

Furthermore, it was decided that the hearing will be held on June 27, 2025, at 14:10.

33-YEAR-OLD HOSPITAL FACES RISK OF CLOSURE

Founded in 2009, Aksu Holding operates in the construction, healthcare, and food sectors.

Among the construction projects completed by the company are projects such as Aksu Koru Houses, Aksu Life Houses, Aksu Saklıvadi Houses, and Aksu Sarıgazi.

The hospital, which was established and began serving in Merdivenköy in 1992 under the name Private Göztepe Hospital, was acquired by Aksu Holding in 2024 and its name was changed to Private Aksu Göztepe Hospital.
