4.3 million civil servants will now be required to attend these training sessions
Financial literacy training, launched under the coordination of the Capital Markets Board (SPK), will be made mandatory for civil servants as well. The training, which 4.3 million civil servants will attend, aims to increase their financial awareness.
With the deepening of capital markets and the increase in the number of investors, financial literacy has become important. Various efforts are being carried out to manage savings effectively and protect against potential risks.
In this context, while the SPK has been appointed as the coordinating institution, the Financial Literacy Platform (https://finansalokuryazarlik.gov.tr) was put into practice to increase individuals' financial awareness, ensure they use increasingly complex financial services and products optimally, and guarantee the healthy and stable progress of financial markets.
On the platform, 55 training videos are offered free of charge in 6 categories: "banking", "stock market", "budget", "credit", "crypto assets", and "investment".
Those who register on the site via e-Devlet can receive a level 1, level 2, or level 3 financial literacy participation certificate based on the training they complete.
Since the site opened on May 22, the number of video views has reached 1.3 million, and this number is expected to increase further in the near future.

PROTOCOL WITH 8 PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS
In addition to the platform, the SPK has signed a "Cooperation Protocol for the Dissemination of Financial Literacy" with ministries and public institutions and has begun providing financial literacy and trainer training for target audiences.
To date, protocols have been signed with the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the Supreme Organization of Organized Industrial Zones (OSBÜK), the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR), the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the Ministry of National Defense, the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB), the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (KAGİDER), and the Gendarmerie General Command.
The Ministry of Family and Social Services has ensured that approximately 60 thousand of its personnel have logged into the platform through mass and special announcements. Contact was made with 67 thousand firms through 404 organized industrial zones.
Financial literacy training has become mandatory through the Labor Force Adaptation Programs (İUP) implemented by İŞKUR to ensure the transition of groups requiring special policies into the labor market. In this context, approximately 100 thousand people benefiting from the İUPs have received financial literacy training.
While a working group for target audiences was formed by TOBB, announcements were sent via email to approximately 2 million member firms through chambers and exchanges, sector councils, entrepreneur boards, insurance, SMEs, subsidiaries, and human resources groups.

While remote financial training is provided to soldiers at every level, 400 women were directed to the financial literacy platform face-to-face in 4 provinces within the scope of the "Women of Trade Meeting" event, and 5,600 women entrepreneurs were directed through KAGİDER Pusula.
In addition to bilateral collaborations, events were also held for governorships, local governments, chambers of commerce and industry, universities, and various non-governmental organizations in Kayseri, Adana, and Konya within the scope of the "Financial Literacy Turkey Mobilization".
FINANCIAL LITERACY MANDATE COMING FOR CIVIL SERVANTS
Preliminary negotiations are ongoing to sign protocols with the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Trade, the Presidency of Administrative Affairs, the Presidential Finance Office, the Presidential Human Resources Office, the Personal Data Protection Authority, and the Council of Higher Education.
It is planned to offer the videos at "www.finansalokuryazarlik.gov.tr" as mandatory training for 4.3 million civil servants. In this process, the videos currently on the Distance Education Gate will be replaced and brought under the umbrella of the SPK.
