4 degrees gone for deputy minister with 10 diplomas

In an e-signature investigation conducted in Ankara, it was revealed that the e-signatures of the President of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK), some department heads serving in the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the Ministry of National Education, as well as employees in the student affairs units of 15 universities, had been forged.

Within the scope of the investigation, the existence of a network that issued fake diplomas and driver's licenses in exchange for money caused a widespread public outcry, and allegations that the diplomas of many well-known figures were also fake came to the agenda.

While these debates continue, the academic background of Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Ömer Fatih Sayan has drawn attention on social media. According to a report by Halk TV, Sayan, who previously made headlines with 6 diplomas, 2 master's degrees, and 2 doctoral degrees, did not include 4 different undergraduate degree entries he received from Anadolu University in his resume.

However, it was observed that these graduation details, which Sayan removed from his personal website, are still present on the official website of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.

It had been stated that the Deputy Minister's previously shared resume included a total of 10 university diplomas, among which were the 4 undergraduate diplomas obtained from Anadolu University.
