Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that the Kepez, Muratpaşa, Serik, and Aksu districts in Antalya have been declared 'Disaster Zones Affecting General Life' following extreme rainfall and storms.
Following extreme rainfall and storms in Antalya, the Kepez, Muratpaşa, Serik, and Aksu districts have been declared 'Disaster Zones Affecting General Life'.
The announcement regarding the decision came from Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya. Yerlikaya made the following statement on his social media account:
"Due to the extreme rainfall and storms that occurred in our province of Antalya on February 12-13, floods and inundations took place. Following the extreme rainfall and storms, the Kepez, Muratpaşa, Serik, and Aksu districts have been declared 'Disaster Zones Affecting General Life'.
In order to compensate for the damage to 505 workplaces and 2,261 residences caused by the floods in the Disaster Zones Affecting General Life, and to meet other urgent needs, 92 Million TL in Emergency Support Payment has been sent by AFAD to the Antalya Governorship.
