4 killed in Israeli strike on central Beirut

Four people were killed and 18 others injured in an attack carried out by the Israeli army in central Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, using two missiles and an unmanned aerial vehicle.

According to a report by the official Lebanese news agency NNA, Israeli warplanes bombed central Beirut.

It was stated that the attack was carried out with 2 missiles on a location in the Al-Balat Street area, near the Husseiniya al-Zahra in the city center.

It was reported that an unmanned aerial vehicle belonging to the Israeli army also targeted a residence in the same area, causing significant destruction.

In a statement issued by the Lebanese Ministry of Health, it was reported that according to initial assessments, 4 people were killed and 18 people were injured in the Israeli attack.

TWO SEPARATE LOCATIONS HAD BEEN TARGETED

In attacks carried out by the Israeli army on 2 separate locations in central Beirut yesterday, 10 people were killed and 45 people were injured.

Israel had targeted a building in Ras al-Naba, in the city center of Beirut, around noon yesterday, and it was announced that Hezbollah spokesperson Mohammad Afif was killed in the attack.

The official Lebanese news agency NNA had reported that the targeted location was a 7-story building housing the headquarters of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party and that the building had been completely destroyed.

In the evening hours, an attack was carried out on a store selling electronic products in the Mar Elias district, also in the city center, and flames rose from the area for a long time.
