4 suspects arrested in Burdur for electric motorcycle and bicycle theft

Four suspects who stole 2 electric motorcycles and 1 electric bicycle in Burdur, and 1 electric motorcycle in Bucak on the same night, were caught in Antalya as a result of police efforts and were arrested by the court they were brought before.

Following the theft of an electric motorcycle and an electric bicycle belonging to an individual named Y.Y. on 2709 Street in Bucak district during the night of August 18, an electric motorcycle with license plate 15 ADK 121 belonging to Ü.Ö. on 14080 Street in the Bağlar neighborhood of central Burdur, and an electric motorcycle with license plate 15 ADJ 723 belonging to T.Y. on 42030 Street in the Cemil neighborhood of central Burdur, teams from the Burdur Provincial Police Department and the Bucak District Police Department took action.

As a result of security camera and KGYS (City Security Management System) camera footage analysis, it was determined that the individuals who committed the crimes were M.Y. (28), R.B. (33), İ.K. (17), and T.G. (16), who had come to Burdur from Antalya in a Ford-brand commercial vehicle.

In an operation conducted in Antalya under the instructions of the Bucak Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the 4 suspects were caught along with the stolen electric motorcycles and bicycles and were taken into custody. After their procedures at the police station, the suspects were referred to the Bucak Courthouse and were arrested by the Criminal Judgeship of Peace and sent to prison.

While the stolen electric motorcycles and bicycles were returned to their owners, it was learned that the 4 arrested suspects had numerous prior records for theft and other crimes.
