In Turkey, 454 videos published by Grup Yorum on YouTube between 2006 and 2024 have been blocked from access on the grounds of protecting national security and public order. The YouTube platform has made these videos, which have been viewed a total of 205 million times, invisible from within Turkey.
While the access ban decision was taken by official institutions, it was noted that the blocked content belongs to Grup Yorum and had reached a wide audience over many years. YouTube has implemented the necessary arrangements to ensure that the content in question cannot be accessed within the borders of Turkey.
