49 irregular migrants apprehended in land and sea operations!
In land and sea operations conducted in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale, 49 irregular migrants, including 23 children, were apprehended.
The Coast Guard North Aegean Group Command teams detected rubber boats moving off the coast of Ayvacık. The coast guard boat "TCSG-8" was dispatched to the area.
The teams brought 29 irregular migrants of Afghan nationality, including 13 children, to shore.

The Coast Guard Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Team, in an operation conducted in the same district, apprehended 20 irregular migrants, including 10 children, and 2 suspects alleged to have organized their escape abroad. The foreign nationals were taken to the Ayvacık Repatriation Center following processing.
The suspects were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the gendarmerie.
