5.1 magnitude earthquake in the Aegean
According to AFAD data, a 5.1 magnitude earthquake that occurred off the coast of Greece was felt in areas near the Gökçeada district of Çanakkale. It was reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 8.58 kilometers.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) announced that a 5.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Aegean Sea off the coast of Greece.
It was stated that the epicenter of the earthquake, which took place at 22:08, was Ayion Oros (Greece) and was located approximately 146 kilometers from Gökçeada.
The earthquake, recorded at a depth of 8.58 kilometers, caused brief panic in and around Çanakkale, while according to initial reports, there have been no negative notifications.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation.
