5 arrested in 'Kuyu-24' operation: Ali Yerlikaya announced
5 people have been arrested in the "Kuyu-24" operation carried out in the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ. The announcement came from Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya.
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya stated in a post on his social media account that the "Kuyu-24" operation was carried out by the Tekirdağ Provincial Police Department, under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Department of Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime, targeting suspects determined to have carried out actions under the direction of an organized crime group leader currently imprisoned abroad.
Yerlikaya stated that 5 people were taken into custody during the operation on charges of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "extortion," "threats," "attempted intentional homicide," "damage to property," and "endangering general safety," and noted that the suspects were arrested by the court they were brought before.
