5 arrests in Ayşe Tokyaz murder case
Four police officers and a residential complex security supervisor have been arrested in the investigation into the murder of 22-year-old university student Ayşe Tokyaz.
Former police officer Cemil Koç killed Ayşe Tokyaz, who wanted to break up with him, in Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district, placed her in a suitcase, and left the body on the side of a road in the Eyüpsultan district.
Seven people, including Koç, had previously been arrested in the investigation into the murder of Ayşe Tokyaz.
55-year-old Oğuz K. and police officer İ.U.U., who were determined to have helped Koç remove the suitcase from the house and transport it by car, were arrested on July 19.
Today, four more police officers and a residential complex security supervisor were arrested in the investigation.
The number of people arrested in the investigation has risen to 14.
