5 forest workers and 5 AKUT volunteers martyred in Eskişehir fire
During efforts to extinguish a forest fire in the Seyitgazi district of Eskişehir, 10 forest workers and NGO volunteers were trapped in the flames and martyred.
Eskişehir Deputy Nebi Hatipoğlu announced the news that 10 forest workers were martyred in the forest fire that broke out in the Seyitgazi district of Eskişehir.
The fire, which started yesterday in the Seyitgazi district of Eskişehir, spread rapidly, and footage emerged showing the moments when a team responding to the fire was trapped in the flames.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya issued a condolence message for the forest workers and AKUT volunteers who were martyred in the forest fire that occurred in the Seyitgazi district of Eskişehir.
In a post on his social media account, Interior Minister Yerlikaya stated, "The forest fire in the Seyitgazi district of Eskişehir has also burned our hearts. Unfortunately, we have lost 10 of our people as martyrs in the fire, 5 of whom were forest workers and 5 of whom were AKUT volunteers. Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç announced that the bodies of the forest martyrs, which were brought to Afyonkarahisar State Hospital, have been transferred to the Ankara Forensic Medicine Group Presidency.

Health Minister Memişoğlu provided information regarding the health status of those injured in the forest fire. Memişoğlu stated the following:
In the tragic incident that occurred during the response to the forest fire in the Seyitgazi district of Eskişehir, 5 of our forest workers and 5 of our AKUT volunteers were martyred. I pray for God's mercy upon our dear martyrs and extend my condolences to their grieving families, loved ones, and our nation.
The treatment of 7 of our injured continues in our hospitals. The condition of 6 of our injured is good, while 1 of our injured is being closely monitored in intensive care. Our other injured have been discharged.
The treatment processes for our patients are being followed meticulously, and I wish our injured a speedy recovery.
I once again pray for God's mercy upon our heroes who lost their lives in this painful event.

In his post, Hatipoğlu stated, "Unfortunately, there are no words to describe our sorrow.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of our 10 heroic forestry workers who were martyred while battling the flames in the forest fire that broke out in Seyitgazi.

MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE AND FORESTRY YUMAKLI ALSO MADE A STATEMENT
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı also made a statement regarding the loss of life. Yumaklı stated, "We have lost 5 forestry workers and 5 AKUT worker brothers."
