5 people released in Incirlik live broadcast investigation
In the investigation launched regarding the live broadcast made by ANKA News Agency from the vicinity of Incirlik Air Base in Adana, 5 people, including ANKA Editor-in-Chief Kenan Şeker, who were taken into custody, have been released under judicial control.
Following the air strikes carried out by Israel against Iran, strategic military points in the region began to be monitored closely. ANKA News Agency conducted a live broadcast from Incirlik Air Base that lasted approximately 1 hour and 14 minutes.
Following the broadcast, an investigation was launched by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the sharing of the footage. Within the scope of the investigation, teams from the Adana Police Department's Security Branch took reporter S.Ö., municipal employee G.B., journalist M.B., and business owner Ö.A., who was alleged to have granted permission for the filming, into custody.
ANKA News Agency Editor-in-Chief Kenan Şeker was also taken into custody in Ankara and brought to Adana.
Kenan Şeker and the other 4 individuals, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were referred to the courthouse after health checks at the forensic medicine institute. Appearing before the judge, Kenan Şeker and the other 4 individuals were released under judicial control.
