50 million lira drug operation at Kapıkule
In Edirne, as a result of a coordinated operation by police and customs enforcement teams at the Kapıkule Border Gate, supported by the sensitive-nosed detector dog Carlos, 58 kilograms of Ecstasy pills were seized during a search of the tractor units of two trucks. Two individuals were detained in connection with the incident.
Teams from the Edirne Provincial Police Department's Narcotics, Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM), and Intelligence branches, supported by the narcotics detector dog Carlos, along with teams from the Kapıkule Border Gate Customs Enforcement, Smuggling and Intelligence Directorate, carried out an operation targeting drug traffickers.
As a result of the coordinated work of the teams, 2 trucks were stopped and searched within the Kapıkule Customs area. During the searches conducted in the tractor units of the trucks with the participation of the detector dog Carlos, approximately 200 thousand Ecstasy pills, weighing 58 kilograms and 176 grams and valued at 50 million Turkish Liras, were seized.

The processing of the 2 suspects detained in connection with the incident is ongoing.
