50 percent hike in IMM student dormitory fees
With a decision from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Council, the monthly fee for higher education student dormitories has been increased by 50 percent, rising from 1,300 TL to 1,950 TL.
The third session of the IMM Council for June was held at the municipal building in Saraçhane, chaired by the Council's 1st Deputy Speaker Nuri Aslan.
During the session, the 2024 revised fee schedule from the IMM Department of Financial Services, Revenue Branch Directorate, was discussed.
The proposal requested that the monthly fee for higher education student dormitories, which was 1,300 TL, be increased by 50 percent to 1,950 TL.
The price hike will take effect as of September 1, 2024.
The last increase for IMM student dormitories was a 36.84 percent hike on September 13, 2023.
