54 flights cancelled at Istanbul Airport
Due to expected adverse weather conditions in Istanbul, Turkish Airlines has cancelled 54 flights departing from Istanbul Airport on January 12, 2026. THY announced that the flight restrictions were implemented in accordance with the decisions of the Meteorological Emergency Committee.
Turkish Airlines (THY) Senior Vice President of Media Relations Yahya Üstün announced that a total of 54 flights arriving at and departing from Istanbul Airport on January 12, 2026, have been cancelled due to expected adverse weather conditions in Istanbul.
In a statement on his social media account, Üstün noted that the adverse weather conditions in Istanbul have led to flight restrictions in line with the decision taken by the Meteorological Emergency Committee (MADKOM). In his statement, Üstün said, "Due to the adverse weather conditions expected in Istanbul on Monday, January 12, flight restrictions will be implemented in accordance with the decision taken by MADKOM. For this reason, 54 of our flights arriving at/departing from Istanbul Airport on January 12 have been cancelled."
