6.0 magnitude earthquake near Japan's Fukushima Prefecture
A 6.0 magnitude earthquake has occurred off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture in northeastern Japan.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), the 6.0 magnitude earthquake, which occurred at 12:16 local time off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture in the country's northeast, was recorded at a depth of 40 kilometers.
No tsunami warning was issued following the earthquake.
It was reported that the tremor was felt across Fukushima, in the Pacific coastal prefectures of Iwate, Miyagi, Ibaraki, and Chiba, as well as in the capital, Tokyo.
