6 billion in funding for Turkish Maarif Foundation from MoNE budget: Erdoğan signs off

The decision entered into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette dated May 21, 2025, in accordance with Article 5 of the Turkish Maarif Foundation Law No. 6721.

Article 1 of the decision, titled "Purpose and Scope," states that the Foundation is tasked with providing educational services both domestically and abroad, as well as activities such as teacher training, conducting scientific research, and developing new educational methods.

According to Article 2 of the decision, the amount of funding to be transferred from the Ministry of National Education budget in 2025 to enable the Turkish Maarif Foundation to carry out these activities has been set at 6 billion 774 million 954 thousand TL.

The decision entered into force on the date of its publication, effective from January 1, 2025. The Ministry of National Education will be responsible for its implementation.
