6 more suspects arrested in corruption investigation into IMM: 7 people released under judicial control

The investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into suspects, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was removed from his post as IMM Mayor following his arrest, continues on charges of "being a leader of a criminal organization," "being a member of a criminal organization," "extortion," "bribery," "qualified fraud," "unlawful acquisition of personal data," and "rigging a tender."

REFERRED TO THE COURTHOUSE

In this context, the procedures for the 13 suspects detained in an operation conducted by gendarmerie teams on August 12 have been completed. The suspects, who were referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan, were first taken for a health check. The suspects brought to the courthouse have completed their statement procedures at the prosecutor's office.

8 SUSPECTS REFERRED FOR ARREST

The prosecutor's office referred Örsan Çetin, the son of IMM Head of Press and Public Relations Department Taner Çetin, along with Doğukan Arıcı, İlkay Onok, Ömer Aydın, Ümit Güngör, Ferhat Karatop, Ali Arslan, and Ahmet Işık to the judgeship with a request for their arrest.

JUDICIAL CONTROL REQUEST FOR TANER ÇETİN'S EX-WIFE

Taner Çetin's ex-wife Canan Çetin and the other suspects Baran Yalgı, Emine Merve Köseoğlu, Serkan Gürsoy, and Mehmet Ünal were referred to the judgeship with a request for judicial control measures to be applied to them.

6 of the suspects were arrested, while 7 people were released under judicial control.
