6 people stranded with their animals in a highland in Rize rescued

Following the warnings from the General Directorate of Meteorology that snowfall would begin in the high parts of the country, the snowfall that started caused difficult moments for citizens.

Due to the snowfall effective in the high altitudes of Rize, highland residents began their return. When the snow depth reached 30 centimeters in the Sırt Yayla highland of the Ardeşen district, the residents struggled to return. 5 highland residents who requested help from the Rize Special Provincial Administration were rescued from the highland where they were stranded after the teams carried out road-clearing work and were brought down to the center.

On the other hand, a vehicle with license plate 53 FN 125, which could not move due to the snow in the Sırt Yayla highland and overturned after the driver lost steering control, was also removed from where it was and rescued by the Rize Special Provincial Administration Ardeşen Construction Site teams.

In the Zizeni Highland, 1 shepherd was stranded with a total of 165 animals, 15 of which were cattle and 150 were small livestock. As a result of the work carried out by the Rize Special Provincial Administration teams, the stranded shepherd and his animals were also rescued and brought down to the district center.
