60 criminals, 16 of whom were wanted with Red Notices, brought to Turkey

60 individuals who had fled abroad and were subject to arrest warrants have been extradited to Turkey following international efforts. Among those extradited are 16 individuals wanted internationally via Red Notices and 44 individuals wanted at the national level.

The operations were carried out under the coordination of the General Directorate of Security's Interpol-Europol Department, officials from the Ministry of Justice, and relevant police units. It was stated that the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM), Intelligence, Anti-Narcotics, Cybercrime, Public Order, and Counter-Terrorism (TEM) units were also involved in the process.

The largest portion of the arrests took place in Georgia. According to the information released, 43 people were captured in Georgia, 5 in Greece, and 2 each in Germany and the United Kingdom. Other arrests took place in Bulgaria, Montenegro, Poland, Serbia, Armenia, Switzerland, Romania, and Russia.

It was reported that the individuals brought to Turkey were wanted for crimes including intentional homicide, robbery, drug trafficking, forgery of official documents, fraud, theft, blackmail, sexual assault, laundering assets derived from crime, and membership in an armed terrorist organization.

The statement expressed gratitude to the police units involved in the operations and the institutions that contributed to the process.
