60 irregular migrants apprehended in Ağrı: 4 human smugglers detained
Teams from the Ağrı Police Department's Anti-Migrant Smuggling and Border Gates Branch stopped two vehicles suspected of transporting irregular migrants. 60 irregular migrants and 4 human smugglers were apprehended. It was announced that the apprehended irregular migrants will be handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management, and the processing of the human smuggling suspects is ongoing.
In Doğubayazıt, Ağrı, teams from the Provincial Police Department's Anti-Migrant Smuggling and Border Gates Branch apprehended 60 irregular migrants and detained 4 human smugglers. According to a statement from the Governor's Office, the teams stopped two vehicles traveling in a lead-and-follow formation on the road to Güllüce village in Doğubayazıt, which were suspected of carrying irregular migrants.

Searches of the vehicles resulted in the apprehension of 30 Afghan nationals and the detention of 4 human smugglers.
In another operation conducted by the teams, 29 Afghan and 1 Pakistani migrant were apprehended in an abandoned building in the Hasankeyf neighborhood.
It was reported that the irregular migrants will be handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management, and the processing of the human smuggling suspects is ongoing.
