63 caves and shelters destroyed in 6 provinces during 'Kahramanlar' operation

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya shared the details of the "Kahramanlar-30" operation on his social media account.

In his statement, where he noted that 63 caves and shelters were destroyed in 6 provinces, Yerlikaya stated the following:

"In the 'Kahramanlar-30' operations carried out to destroy various weapons, ammunition, and explosives hidden by terrorists belonging to the Separatist Terrorist Organization (BTÖ) in caves and shelters to carry out attacks in rural areas during the winter months;

In the Kahramanlar-30 operations, which involved J-SİHA (Gendarmerie Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) and ATAK helicopters in Şırnak, Siirt, Kahramanmaraş, Diyarbakır, Muş, and Tunceli, the following were seized: 1 sniper rifle, 4 AK-47 infantry rifles, 1 G-3 infantry rifle, 1 PKM machine gun, 16 hand grenades, 6 grenade launchers and their ammunition, 8 anti-tank and anti-personnel munitions, 155 mm HOWITZER artillery ammunition, 31 mines/IEDs and explosive materials, 120 kg of ammonium nitrate (used in IED construction), 3,795 rounds of ammunition (7.62 mm, 5.56 mm, and 12.7 caliber heavy weapon ammunition), 3 binoculars, 6 radios, 362 batteries, 30 gas canisters, and a large quantity of kitchen, food, medical, and living supplies.

The shelters prepared by the terrorist organization for logistical purposes and to carry out attacks during the winter months were identified one by one and destroyed."
