Fraudster Selçuk T., who scammed dozens of people across Turkey with fake online advertisements, was caught by the Istanbul Public Security Branch's Wanted Persons Bureau on the very day he arrived in Istanbul. It was revealed that 36-year-old Selçuk T. had a finalized prison sentence of 68 years and 6 months and was wanted for 51 separate crimes.

An individual who created fake advertisements on second-hand goods websites to sell electronic items managed to defraud many people across Turkey. Complaints against the suspect, Selçuk T., who began his scamming spree in 2019, started to pour in. Complaints were filed against the individual in Ankara, Adıyaman, Adana, Antalya, Ardahan, Malatya, Konya, İzmir, Kocaeli, Şanlıurfa, Hakkari, Bayburt, Sinop, Siirt, Tokat, Mersin, Istanbul, Tekirdağ, and many other provinces.
CAUGHT IN A LUXURY RESIDENCE IN ESENYURT
Selçuk T., who had a finalized 68-year prison sentence, entered Istanbul in recent days. Teams from the Public Security Branch's Wanted Persons Bureau determined that the fraudster was staying in a luxury residence in Esenyurt. Selçuk T., who was taken into custody during an operation last night, was referred to the courthouse following his processing.
WANTED FOR 51 CRIMES
Despite complaints filed against him from dozens of provinces, Selçuk T., who claimed, "I didn't defraud anyone, they used my identity," was found to be wanted for 51 separate crimes. Selçuk T. was sent to prison to serve his 68-year and 6-month sentence.
