7 injured after passenger bus falls into a creek in Bitlis!
A passenger bus fell into a creek in the Tatvan district of Bitlis, leaving the driver and 6 passengers injured. It was reported that the condition of the injured is good.
On the Bitlis-Van highway, a bus with license plate 65 BJ 330, carrying approximately 20 passengers, lost control near the Yoncabaşı village and fell into a creek.
Upon notification, 112 Emergency Health, fire department, AFAD, police, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident.
The injured driver and 6 passengers, who were removed from the bus by the teams and other passengers, were taken to Tatvan State Hospital by medical teams.
It was learned that the condition of the injured is good.
Tatvan District Governor Remzi Demir and Mayor Mümin Erol also arrived at the scene to receive information.
The other passengers on the bus were taken to Van by another bus that arrived at the scene.
One of the passengers, Emrah Can, stated that they were traveling from Tatvan to Van, saying, "It was raining while turning at the intersection. The driver was also a bit fast; he lost control due to an oncoming vehicle. We fell into the creek. The front windshield was submerged in water. We broke the glass and got out."
