7 injured in pile-up
A multi-vehicle pile-up in Erzurum involving four vehicles has left seven people injured, one of them critically. One of the injured is currently receiving treatment in intensive care.
The accident, which occurred at an intersection near a shopping center in the Yakutiye district, involved three light commercial vehicles and one car. The violent collision caused significant material damage. Due to the impact, the engine of one of the vehicles was ejected onto the road. The car involved in the accident overturned, and the force of the crash knocked over a traffic light pole and dislodged paving stones.
Following reports of the incident, numerous medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Seven people, identified as M.A, E.M, E.T, M.B.E, M.K, H.Ç., and M.S.T., were transported to various hospitals in the area by 112 Emergency Health teams. It was reported that H.Ç., who is in critical condition, is receiving treatment at the Atatürk University Research Hospital.
Police teams halted traffic flow following the accident and implemented security measures. Traffic returned to normal after the vehicles were removed from the scene. Metropolitan Municipality personnel cleaned up the vehicle parts scattered on the road and the damaged area.
