7 suspects detained for causing panic at school
In Adana, 7 suspects were detained after firing shots into the air with handguns to intimidate their rivals near a middle school, causing panic. Two handguns believed to have been used in the incident were also seized.
According to allegations, gunshots were heard in the vicinity of Yavuz Selim Middle School, located in the Gürselpaşa neighborhood of the central Seyhan district.
Following the school attacks in Şanlıurfa and Kahramanmaraş, students who heard the gunshots left the school in a panic, and parents also arrived at the school.
Once it was understood that there was no attack on the school, the students returned to their classrooms and continued their lessons.
Teams from the Seyhan District Police Department launched an investigation to apprehend the suspects who caused the panic by opening fire around the school.
As a result of the efforts, 7 suspects involved in the incident were apprehended.
Two handguns and 94 rounds of ammunition, believed to have been used in the incident, were seized.
On the other hand, it was learned that the suspects had fired into the air to intimidate their rivals.
