8-point declaration following NSC meeting: 'It will be completely demolished'

The National Security Council (NSC) meeting has concluded. A written statement was issued following the meeting.

The statement included the following points:

The National Security Council convened on September 30, 2025, under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

At the meeting;

1. Information was presented to the Council regarding the activities carried out with perseverance, determination, and success both domestically and abroad against all kinds of threats and dangers to our national unity, solidarity, and survival, primarily the PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG, FETÖ, and DAESH terrorist organizations, as well as recent international developments.

2. The progress made toward a "terror-free Türkiye," with the contribution of activities under the roof of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, was evaluated; a strong will was reaffirmed to completely demolish the wall of terror standing before our nation's future and to ensure a climate of peace, prosperity, and security is made permanent.

Subsequently, it was emphasized that within the process to be reinforced with the goal of a "terror-free region," no manifestation of terror will be allowed in our neighboring geography, and expansionism based on a foundation of terror will strictly not be permitted.

3. Actors and issues posing a threat to the territorial integrity, unity, and sovereignty of Syria, as well as the security, stability, and prosperity of Iraq, were evaluated; it was underscored that our support for the struggle against efforts to drag our neighbors into regional conflicts will continue to increase.

4. Attention was drawn to the illegitimate policies of the Israeli administration in Gaza that have led to a humanitarian catastrophe and deaths from starvation; it was stated that stopping the genocide and holding those responsible accountable has become the common responsibility of all humanity, and a call was made for the international community to act urgently and to concretize the will displayed within the United Nations; it was expressed that Türkiye will continue to contribute to every positive step taken toward the establishment of a just and lasting peace.

5. Regarding our national cause, the Cyprus issue, our support for the two-state solution model based on the recognition of the sovereign equality and equal international status of the Turkish Cypriots was emphasized, and it was noted that our country will maintain its resolute stance against any steps that could negatively affect the environment of peace on the Island.

6. The current situation regarding the Russia-Ukraine War was evaluated; concern was expressed regarding incidents pointing to the risk of the war spreading, and it was stated that Türkiye is ready to assume more responsibility for the establishment of peace.

7. The normalization process conducted with Armenia was discussed; the importance of the transport line that will enable unimpeded access between Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan, yielding results in the interest of all countries in the region, and our will toward the establishment of a final peace were emphasized.

8. Recent developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina were addressed; our support for the country's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and constitutional order was reaffirmed.
