8 prosecutors assigned for TUSAŞ attack

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç arrived in the Ulus district of Bartın to attend the AKP's 8th Ordinary District Congress. Speaking at the congress, Minister Tunç recalled the terrorist attack carried out against Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) on Wednesday, October 23, and stated, "In this terrorist attack, we have martyred 5 of our citizens, including four TUSAŞ employees and one civilian. 22 of our citizens and TUSAŞ employees were injured. May they rest in peace. I wish patience to their families. I offer my condolences to our nation. 6 of the 22 injured TUSAŞ employees are still receiving treatment in the hospital. 16 have been discharged. I also wish a speedy recovery to our injured."

"THE ATTACK IS AN INDICATION OF THOSE WHO CANNOT DIGEST IT"

Emphasizing that the TUSAŞ attack is an indication of those who cannot digest the point Turkey has reached in the space and aviation industry, Tunç said, "Of course, this attack is not just an attack on TUSAŞ. This attack is an attack on the unity and solidarity of our entire nation. It is an attack on the State of the Republic of Turkey. This attack is an attack on the peace and security of our nation. This attack is an attack on a center that is a leading and highly strategic institution in Turkey's space, aviation, and defense industry, and it is an attack on Turkey's development and progress. This attack is an indication of those who cannot digest the point Turkey has reached in the defense industry. We condemn those who carried out this attack. We will fight against all forms of terrorism until its roots are eradicated. We will not let our unity and solidarity be broken. We will continue our determination in the fight against terrorism by further strengthening our internal front. Terrorism is an enemy of humanity. Terrorism is an attack on the law. Terrorism is an attack on human rights. We will continue our fight against that terrorism and the hands that hold those puppets. We have been continuing our fight against the PKK terrorist organization for nearly 50 years. We have resisted global powers striving to establish a terrorist state in our south, in the south of Syria. We have continued our struggle to prevent the establishment of a terrorist state there, and we will continue to maintain this struggle. We will not let our country's unity and solidarity be broken," he stated.

8 PROSECUTORS ARE CONDUCTING THE INVESTIGATION

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç stated that 8 prosecutors have been assigned to the investigation to ensure the attack is revealed in all its aspects.

Stating that an investigation is being conducted to uncover the background of the attack and all connections of the terrorists, Tunç said, "A judicial investigation has been initiated regarding the treacherous terrorists who attacked TUSAŞ. From the very first moment, our Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, under the coordination of a deputy chief prosecutor, has had 8 Public Prosecutors continuing to investigate the background and connections of the terrorists retrospectively. And they will uncover them. Our judicial authorities, security forces, and law enforcement agencies will work together to reveal the background of this treacherous terrorist organization and the puppets behind these terrorists, and bring them before the judiciary. Have no doubt about this. We will continue on our path without letting our country's unity and solidarity be broken, God willing. We will continue our fight against those who use this terrorist organization as a subcontractor to remove all obstacles in front of our country's development and progress, and this struggle of ours will continue until we destroy all the networks of evil that strive to disrupt the peace of our nation," he said.
