8 suspects detained in Tekirdağ-based fraud operation
In a fraud operation conducted across 4 provinces centered in Tekirdağ, 8 people were detained on suspicion of telephone fraud.
Provincial Police Department teams launched an investigation following allegations that a group of suspects defrauded victims of 25 million liras by calling them in Tekirdağ, Istanbul, Izmir, and Aydın and identifying themselves as police officers.
8 suspects were detained in operations carried out at addresses identified by the teams.
Mobile phones found at the suspects' addresses and 25 thousand liras, which were assessed to have been obtained through criminal activity, were seized.
