9 arrested in Üsküdar Municipality investigation
In the investigation conducted into Üsküdar Municipality over allegations of "bribery," 9 people were arrested and 10 were released under judicial control. Among those arrested were Deputy Mayor Filiz Deveci and Kent AŞ General Manager Nazım Akkoyunlu.
In the bribery investigation conducted by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into Üsküdar Municipality, 9 people were arrested and 10 were released under judicial control. The 21 people detained as part of the operation carried out on April 7 were referred to the courthouse today.
Following their statements to the prosecutor, 9 people, including Üsküdar Deputy Mayor Filiz Deveci and Kent AŞ General Manager Nazım Akkoyunlu, were arrested.
The names arrested as part of the investigation are as follows:
Filiz Deveci, Nazım Akkoyunlu, Hakan Yavuz, Özgür Ceylan, Barkın Ege Tekkökoğlu, Erdem Alkan, Kadir Karadağ, Yılmaz Kozan, and Ceyhan Han.
The court decided to impose judicial control measures on 10 suspects.
The names released under judicial control:
Ahmet İşman, Veysel Köse, Burçin Çevik, Yasin Karabaş, Engin Araz, Özkan Sinan Binali, Eyüp Meriç, Murat Armağan, Mehmet Atilla Güneri, and Hakan Mansız.
While one suspect was released by the prosecutor's office, it was learned that 2 more people were detained as part of the investigation and their processing is ongoing.
