9 people arrested in attack on police checkpoint in Levent

In Istanbul, 1 suspect was killed and 2 suspects were neutralized with injuries during a clash in front of the building housing the Israeli Consulate. It was reported that 2 police officers were also slightly injured in the clash. The number of detainees rose to 17 following the capture of 4 more suspects in the investigation into the attack. Of the 12 suspects referred to the courthouse, 9 were arrested, while 3 were released.

Within the scope of the investigation launched after the incident, a total of 10 suspects were detained during operations conducted on the day of the incident and subsequently. With the capture of 5 more suspects as the work continued, 3 of whom were in Kocaeli, the number of suspects in custody rose to 17. The suspects were referred to the courthouse after health checks.
