In an operation carried out this morning in Istanbul, a total of 94 more people were detained for making social media posts or participating in protests following the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu on March 19.
Following the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor İmamoğlu on March 19, a total of 94 people were detained on allegations of acting in violation of Law No. 911 on Meetings and Demonstrations, or 'inviting the public to the streets' through social media posts, and 'inciting the public to hatred and hostility by creating fear and panic.'
