9th Judicial Package published in the Official Gazette

The Law on Amendments to Certain Laws, known publicly as the 9th Judicial Package, has been published in the Official Gazette.

According to the law, the number of questions in the Entrance Exam for Legal Professions and the Preliminary Exam for Administrative Judiciary will be increased from 100 to 120.

The sales procedure for vehicles held in impound lots, which have been banned from traffic due to being found or in accordance with legal provisions and have not been claimed or sought by their owners within 6 months, will be redefined.

The crime of insult via audio, written, or visual communication will be removed from the scope of conciliation and included in the scope of advance payment.

For the crime of insult, which is subject to complaint for investigation and prosecution, the complaint period shall not exceed 2 years from the date the act occurred, regardless of the circumstances.

Those who have completed mediation training and have 20 years of seniority in their profession will be able to register in the mediation registry without taking a written exam.

A requirement to be a law graduate will be introduced to become a conciliator.

With the amendments accepted by the AKP, provisions regarding the surname of a woman after marriage, the appointment of the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) as a trustee, and changes to the Expropriation Law were removed from the regulation.

The Law, which contains many additional articles, entered into force on the date of its publication.
