A first in TSK history: Women rank first in all three military academies
Women left their mark on this year's military academy graduation ceremonies. Ebru Eroğlu at the Military Academy, Şeyda Yıldırım at the Naval Academy, and İkra Kuyumcu at the Air Force Academy achieved the top rankings in their respective classes.
Graduation excitement was felt at the National Defense University's Land, Naval, and Air Force Academies.
The ceremonies, which were also attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, witnessed a first in the history of the Turkish Armed Forces.
Female lieutenants finished first in all three branches of the military academies. The lieutenants received their diplomas from Erdoğan.

Ebru Eroğlu became the lieutenant who graduated first from the NDU Land Military Academy.

İkra Kuyumcu became the lieutenant who graduated first from the NDU Air Force Academy.

Şeyda Yıldırım became the lieutenant who graduated first from the NDU Naval Academy.
Speaking at the ceremony, Erdoğan said, "I have a particular happiness that I must express. Our daughters took the top spots at the Land Military Academy graduation ceremony, the Naval Academy graduation ceremony, and the Air Force Academy graduation ceremony. This is, of course, a separate badge of honor for us. It means our daughters can succeed, and beyond just being successful, they can succeed specifically as soldiers."
