In the final match of the final series in the Vodafone Sultan's League, Fenerbahçe Opet defeated Eczacıbaşı Dynavit 3-0 to secure the championship.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who arrived at the protocol tribune with his wife Dilek İmamoğlu to watch the match, watched the game alongside Turkish Volleyball Federation President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ.
A FIRST IN TRT HISTORY
TRT, which did not even mention his name while broadcasting events attended by İmamoğlu before the March 31 elections, announced Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu for the first time during the match.
While announcer Kerem Öncel's announcement of İmamoğlu became a trending topic on social media, it was claimed that the change at TRT was due to the March 31 election results.
