A level never seen before: Survey results show the rate of those wanting an early election
While many polling companies continue to take the pulse of citizens regarding the election agenda, Sonar Research President Hakan Bayrakçı has announced striking results from an 'early election survey'.
Bayrakçı shared the noteworthy rate for an early election with the public.
Sonar Research President Hakan Bayrakçı, in his statement on Halk TV, announced the citizens' call for an early election and the rate of voters who will determine the government.
"A LEVEL NEVER SEEN BEFORE"
Hakan Bayrakçı stated that the economy largely determines the voting preference of citizens in a potential election, while announcing that the rate of those wanting an early general election has exceeded 60 percent, reaching a level never seen before. Bayrakçı pointed out that this rate is the highest demand for an early election in the last 20–30 years.
Pointing out that the most dominant factor determining the mood of the voter is the economy, Bayrakçı said, “No matter what the inflation figure is, the citizen knows the difference between the product they bought last year and the product they bought this year. This situation is seriously wearing down the voter.”
According to the research, the rate of those who find the minimum wage insufficient has risen to 87 percent, while the rate of those who think the lowest pension should be above the current level exceeds 80 percent. Bayrakçı stated that this dissatisfaction increases the tendency not to go to the polls, especially among government voters.
36 PERCENT UNDECIDED
Stating that another striking topic in the surveys is the undecided voters, Bayrakçı said that the rate of those who do not express an opinion has risen to 36 percent. He stated that this rate makes predictions about election results difficult and shows that serious changes could occur at the last minute.
According to Hakan Bayrakçı, the real segment that will determine the outcome of the elections will be the 15–20 percent of voters who have weak party affiliation and “vote according to the course of events.” Bayrakçı used the expressions, “This mass does not like pressure, it looks at performance. They will largely determine the direction of politics.”
