A new alternative to the Eastern Express: Tourist Tatvan Train is setting off

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the Tourist Tatvan Train, which will be put into service after the Eid al-Adha holiday, will depart from Ankara on June 24 at 14:30 with 140 passengers, and from Tatvan on June 26 at 19:00.

Stating that the Tourist Tatvan Train will complete its route in 28 hours, Uraloğlu said, "Our conventional trains, which for a long time only met travel needs, are now also serving the country's tourism. After the Tourist Eastern Express and the Tourist Diyarbakır Express, we will also see off the Tourist Tatvan Train on June 24."

UNIQUE SCENERY AND NOSTALGIA MEET WITH THE TOURIST TATVAN TRAIN

Minister Uraloğlu stated that the Tourist Tatvan Train brings together nostalgia and comfort with unique scenery, adding, "Our train consists of sleeping cars that offer the opportunity to travel in the comfort of home. Two people can travel in one room of our sleeping cars, and each room has a refrigerator and a sink. In addition, our passengers will be able to taste the delicacies offered in the dining cars while accompanied by the Anatolian landscape."

TOURISM BREAKS IN ELAZIĞ AND SİVAS

Stating that the Tourist Tatvan Train will stop in Elazığ for 3 hours for tourism purposes on its Ankara-Tatvan journey, Minister Uraloğlu said, "During this break, passengers will have the opportunity to discover the cultural and historical texture of Elazığ. The train, which will start its return journey from Tatvan, will this time stop in Sivas for 3 hours, giving passengers the opportunity to spend time in Sivas."

THE TRAIN CONTRIBUTES TO THE ECONOMY OF THE PROVINCES IT PASSES THROUGH

Uraloğlu stated that thousands of passengers traveling on the Tourist Erzurum Kars Regional Train and the Tourist Diyarbakır Train, especially the Tourist Eastern Express operated by the TCDD Transportation General Directorate, have accumulated beautiful memories, and noted the following:
"Our tourism ambassador trains, gliding through unique geographies, offer an alternative to tourism and also contribute to the economy of the provinces they pass through. The Tourist Eastern Express, whose fame has crossed the country's borders and which serves on one of the most beautiful routes in the world, is the best example of this.

Just like the Tourist Diyarbakır Express, which completed its voyages this season, the Tourist Tatvan Train will also touch the economic, social, and cultural life of many of our cities on its route, offering the opportunity to see historical and cultural values as well as natural wonders along the route."
